21 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry; specializing in the development and management of new drilling & production technologies.

Commenced employment with Baker Hughes in 1987 working as a Wellservices Technician in various countries throughout Europe, Middle East & North Africa. Spent 2 years overseeing well clean up operations in the North Sea for Shell, before moving back to Middle East operations for Baker Hughes as a consultant.

In 1995 commenced employment with Precision Drilling in Canada (formerly Northland Energy). Primarily involved in the development of a new Enhanced Drilling Technology called Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) used mainly in North America; tasked with the design and deployment of new systems on various operations for Shell International. Successfully managed the technology and trained personnel throughout the North Sea, Middle East & South East Asia regions over the next 12 years.

Having worked for a short time with Weatherford International to develop their UBD systems throughout the Eastern Hemisphere; decided to establish the Maple Group in 2004, initially providing UBD specialists.

Expanded the Maple Group to provide equipment systems to support numerous UBD operations through to 2006 when the next generation, Managed Pressure Drilling systems (MPD) were deployed. Currently establishing a new Maple division, providing a suite of Enhanced Drilling & Production Technologies.

15 years experience in asset management in Europe and Asia and has business interests across the Asia Pacific region, as well as several business partnerships in Europe

Successfully ran two private equity funds under the holding company Worldwide Investment Management Holdings Limited and is involved in capital raising activity through Castle Rock Capital .

Commenced employment in 1983 with Schlumberger International, worked primarily in their North Sea operations until being trained and transferred to the International Flying Squad. Deployed to numerous remote locations on high profile oilfield well operations throughout Russia, Africa and the Middle East.

Returned to the North Sea operations with Schlumberger UK, until being employed by Precision Drilling (formerly Northland) in 2000 to supervise the new UBD crews and operations in the Middle East and North Africa. Continued with the introduction and supervision of UBD services until moving to the large American Corporation Weatherford International.

Promoted to Operations Supervisor overseeing numerous UBD and Well Servicing systems in Syria for a Shell International contract.

Commenced employment with Maple Group in South East Asia in 2005, assisting with the selection and deployment of manpower, as well as the design and fabrication of Maple Group’s first MPD equipment. currently working on long term field operations in Europe and South East Asia, whilst being key to the future field introduction of the new MPD systems in 2008.
